Progress!

Here you see what I have been working on yesterday and today:

If you don't remember I bought some bodysuits on sale at Ellos website, and last week the package came in the mail. Since then I have been looking for something I could put on them, and here is what I have come up with so far. I still have six more that needs some tender love and care from my sewing machine, so if you have any suggestions about what you would like to see me sew on them, I am open for ideas!

Onsie Project

I just got home from work, and now I´m getting ready to continue on my onsie project. Here is a little glimts of what I´ve been working on!

I hope you like it, and that you will keep following my blog for more pictures and descriptions as I post them.

The Shine project

TheShineProject

Pass It Forward was designed to get people to do little things, everyday, that makes an impact on the community around them. Pass it Forward is designed around a card. Each card is given a unique ID number. Lets say we're at McDonalds, and I decide to pay for the person behind me in the drive through. I'd give the cashier the card, and tell them to pass it along to the next car when the give them the food that has been paid for. I then go home and log into the website that was on the card, and find my unique ID number. I log into it, and add my information... My first name, city, and a description of what I did....
If the person behind me was you, you would pass it forward to someone else,
and then would go home and do the same thing.
From the very beginning, you will be able to track where your card goes, and how many people you affect just by doing one simple act of kindness.

My package has arrived !!

Last week I was on the website Tanum.no to see if there was any new hobby books I could wish forAnd guess what! It was 49NOK sale! I think that this is probably the best deal I have done in a looong time! I ordered my 18 books for 1029NOK! And if that doesn't sound great enough, just wait til you hear that the original price was over 6000NOK, then it is really impressive! Today I found the pickupnote in the mailbox so I raced down to the post office to retrieve the books. Here's a small bundle of amazing new educational books that fills my bookshelf.

Looking forward to see what I can get out of all these books!

OnsieProject

Last week I was on the Ellos website, looking for something I could use for one of my projects. It was a big sale and to my delight, it was something that took my interest. I was a while ago, inspired by a seller on etsy who made the most beautiful things for small children. And today  the package I have been waiting for arrived!

Packed with bodys about to get smart and cute characters on them! They are in various sizes up to norwegian size 94. I can not wait to get started with this project! More pictures coming soon.

Sorry again for the bad cellphone picture!

Crocodile dun dee

Last Sunday, I felt tingling in my fingers to create somethingI was babysitting for a littleboy from Saturday to Sunday. So Friday was dedicated to cleaning and washing. When the little man had been picked up on Sunday afternoon, I started so reasearch for something to sew.

Here are the results:

The only thing that remains is a small seam for closing it up, but I´m waiting for the trademark labels arrival! When I get them I will sew the last seam.

Mr.K. are away this week, and with him, SLR .. And I who is usually very organized and tidy, can of course not find the charger to my digital camera, bummerTherefore, the cellphone photos this week .. New pictures will come when the camera is in place and the labels are sewn on!

Christening Robe

This is a christening robe for a little boy to be baptized on 27 February 2012. The son of a friend of mine who was born last October. I had never thought of sewing a christening robe before my friend asked if I was up for a challengeto sew the christening robe of her son. I thought about it and after doing a little research I answered yes to the challenge. I went off to Stoff og Stil Friday after work to buy what I needed, and during Saturday night the dress was finished.
Here are the result:

The christening robe is in the norwegian size 74. It is made of natural white bridal satin and lace on the chestcuffs and on the edge of the broad bottom of the dress that you see in the picture. It also features as you can see 5 button-hole buttons on the back for closing. In addition, I made abonnet of bridal satin. Tie under the chin. The mother was very happy and now that the dates approaching, I'm looking forward to seeing it on!

Baby Slippers

Baby slippers

These suede slippers have been made in size 3-6 months, they have the same fleece and suede material under the sole as the rest of the slipperSo they are meant for children who have not begun to walk yet.

These indoor shoes I made for a little boy of 1 year that had just begun to take his first steps. Therefore, I have used a fabric which has better adhesion and which are also waterproof as base material.

This type of slipper is the easiest to sew, it takes no more than half an hour from the first cutin the fabric is made, to a pair of slippers is finished, so if you want to try, this is the best place to start.

Cuddlycloth with Personality

These cuddly cloths inspired by a child in a kindergarten I worked in some time ago, which was lost under these labels on her clothes. She used a long johns as cuddly cloth when she was sleeping and loved it! Since then I have seen that there are lots of cuddlecloths you can buy with these labels, so I further developed the idea to get a little more personality and to be in the form of a bunny. All children love the "bunny out in themeadow." ( a norwegian children song) And not just that, but to make it even more special, I appliqued a heart or star shape on each of the cloths I´ve made. I think at leastthat these cuddles was amazingly sweet, they are also incredibly easy to make!

I hope you can be inspired by these cuddles I have made, and if you feel that this is notthe project for you but still want one of these to your child, please send me an email andI might be able to help you with that;)
